Here’s a cheap trick you could do to your Zyxel P-660R-D1 Modem that comes with PLDT DSL here at Philippines. Basically, it turns your modem from a bridge to a router. So what’s the difference? Usually, when you get your modem, you could only connect it one PC, so you need to buy a separate router so that you could connect multiple PC’s. But if your running low on money and can’t buy a new router or your router broke down and you only have switch/bridge/access point on hand, this could really save you a few bucks. Funny about this trick is that even the PLDT technicians
that serviced our line doesn’t know how to configure their modem to router.
1. Configure your PC’s network address manually as such
IP Address: 192.168.1.X, where X is any number from 2-254.
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

2. On your web browser, go to 192.168.1.1
3. Use 1234 as password if the password was left unmodified, you could change this if you want.
4. Use Advance Settings after changing the password.
5. Now go to the Network > WAN > Internet Conection and enter the following:

6. Go to Network > LAN > IP and set the following:

7. Go to Network > LAN > DHCP and set the following:

Note: You could set the starting address, any number you like from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254(though i don’t think that you’ll be doing this since you can only have 1 address if you choose 254). Pool size should be be the range of address you’ll be assigning and not greater than the highest possible address.
8. Go to Network > Advanced > NAT and set the following:

9. Now go to Maintenance > Tools > Restart and restart the router.
10. If all was well, when you logged on back to 192.168.1.1 your status would look something like this(Obviously the rate would be a bit different):

Now just run straight-through UDP cable to your favorite switch/bridge/AP and your now connected.
Hope this helps.
i log in and there’s no drop down list shown. (network, advance and maintenance)
