February 19 2011, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City, Philippines. I was able to once again able to gaze two great shows on the skies of Manila Bay. Last Saturday’s competitors are Portugal and United Kingdom. And yes, I upgraded my viewing area from the Silver area(P100) to the Gold area(P200). And upgrading was totally worth it, the view was much better. Here are my thoughts and photos of the show. (All pictures was taken using a Canon 550D mounted with the kit 18-55mm lens, on BULB, aperture value ranging from F8-F9 and on ISO-100.)
I don’t really have much recollection of all the songs that were used for Portugal’s show but the first two songs quickly stuck to my head, Eye of the Tiger and Bed of Roses. Overall, Portugal’s show was much better that than the first two competitors, though Portugal’s show lacked color variation. Portugal’s Show on my Gallery on Facebook
Second to present on that night was last years Champion, United Kingdom’s Jubilee Fireworks Ltd. The show started off with the song “Pure Imagination” then continued to Katy Perry’s hit “Fireworks”. Timing was very impressive, and they did much credit to the song. So far UK was the most impressive of the four competitors.United Kingdom’s Show on my Gallery on Facebook
